800g/1 ¾ lb fresh or frozen
prepared strawberries
1kg Gem Jam Sugar
Knob of butter
Instructions
1. Place the strawberries in a 2.8 litre (5
pint) bowl suitable for microwaves, and microwave on high for 7
minutes.
2. Crush the fruit with a potato masher, and stir in the sugar
and butter. Microwave on high for 14-16 minutes, stirring the
mixture halfway through. The mixture must boil vigorously for 4
minutes during this time.
3. Pot and cover in the usual way.
