gooseberry Jam

 
Ingredients
1kg ripe gooseberries
1kg Gem Jam Sugar
 
     
Instructions
1. Clean fruit well removing all stems and leaves. Chop fruit finely.
2. Put fruit into saucepan with enough water to cover. Simmer gently until fruit is soft and then mash into a pulp.
3. Add Jam Sugar stirring until it has dissolved. Do not boil.
4. Keep stirring, increasing the heat until it starts to boil. Start timing and boil for 4 minutes.
5. Remove from heat and pot into warm jars and cover.
