Ground Rice Pudding

Try adding cinnamon and raisins to this dish to make it the perfect winter warmer!

1. Bring the milk to the boil and add ground rice stirring all the time.

2. Allow to simmer gently for approx 20 minutes.

3. Leave to cool.

4. Beat the eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla essence together and then add in the rice and milk.

5. Pour into an ovenproof bowl and place in a preheated oven. 

7. Bake for approx 1 hour at 180°C/350°F.


  1. 1 pint of milk
  2. 3oz/75g Gem Ground Rice
  3. 1oz/25g Gem Sugar
  4. 1oz/25g Butter
  5. 2 Eggs
  6. 1 drop of Vanilla Essence
