Orange Tapioca

Orange Tapioca

This is a lovely refreshing dessert. You could also try making it with diced strawberries instead of oranges.

Method

1. Place the milk, tapioca, egg, sugar and salt in a saucepan.

2. Cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to the boil.

3. Remove from heat. Add the orange juice stirring constantly. Return to the heat continuing to stir until the mixture boils again.

4. Remove from the heat and leave to cool for 10-15 minutes – Stir occasionally.

5. Add in the vanilla and diced orange.

6. Chill for approx 2 hours before serving.

  1. 1 1/2 cups of milk
  2. 3 tbsp of Gem Tapioca
  3. 1 large egg beaten
  4. 1 tbsp of Gem Sugar
  5. 1/2 cup of orange juice
  6. A pinch of salt
  7. 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  8. 1 orange - peeled, seeded and diced
