No Cook Chocolate Cake

This recipe couldn't be simpler! it is perfect to make with the children on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Letting children get involved with baking increases their interest in food and makes them less likely to be fussy eaters as they get older.

Method

1. Melt the chocolate, butter and sugar in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.

2. Stir in the rest of the ingredients.

3. Spoon into a 18cm round cake tin lined with greaseproof paper. Leave to set a room temperature until firm.

4. Once cooled and set, remove the cake from tin. Cut into thin slices and serve.

  2. 100g of Dark Chocolate broken into pieces
  3. 110g of Butter
  4. 50g of Gem Soft Dark Sugar
  5. 110g of Shortbread Biscuits broken into pieces
  6. 110g of Gem Cherries
  7. 75g of Gem Hazelnuts
  8. 75g of Gem Pecan Nuts
  9. 1 small packet of maltesers chopped
